Citroën is expanding its affordable EV lineup with the new ë-C3 Aircross, a family-focused electric SUV designed to offer more space and practicality than the standard ë-C3. Measuring 4.39 metres long, the Aircross is 375mm longer than its hatchback sibling and aims to combine everyday usability with Citroën’s well-established focus on comfort. With pricing starting from €28,452 in Ireland, it enters the market as one of the more accessible family-sized electric SUVs available.
More space, more range and everyday practicality
The Irish-market ë-C3 Aircross is equipped exclusively with Citroën’s long-range battery option, delivering a claimed range of up to 400km. DC charging speeds of up to 100kW are supported, helping reduce charging times on longer journeys. Practicality is a key strength, with a 460-litre boot that expands to more than 1,400 litres when the rear seats are folded. The Aircross also offers towing capability of up to 550kg and a 65kg vertical load limit, making it suitable for bike carriers and additional outdoor equipment.
Comfort remains the priority
Citroën’s Advanced Comfort suspension system plays a central role in the ë-C3 Aircross experience, working alongside Advanced Comfort seats designed to improve ride quality and long-distance comfort. Inside, the cabin includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, while a windscreen-mounted head-up display presents key driving information within the driver's field of view. The extended wheelbase also helps improve rear passenger accommodation, making the Aircross better suited to family use.
Worth considering?
The ë-C3 Aircross focuses on the essentials many family buyers are looking for: space, comfort and affordability. With a 400km range, generous practicality and a starting price below €29,000, it offers a compelling option for those considering a move to electric motoring without stepping into a larger or more expensive SUV segment.
