In the latest ‘Meet the Experts’ video, we are back at Polestar in Dublin but this time in their brand-new purpose built showroom. We’re going to chat with Stephen Byrne to learn more about the new premises and take a look at some of the latest models available to test drive.

Hi Stephen good to see you again, can you tell us a bit about the new showroom?

No problem at all, it’s a beautiful new home for Polestar in Ireland, a seven-car showroom with a typically Scandinavian design that mimics the interiors of our cars, uncluttered, minimalist, very technical and clean. Customers and visitors love it so far and we’re delighted to welcome them here.

The layout is fantastic, tell us about some of new models on display?

We start with the Polestar 2 Business Edition. The Polestar 2 range can go up to 659 kilometres. Then there’s the very popular Polestar 4 Business Edition with that classic SUV-meets-coupé design, so you get great practicality and a big range of around 620 kilometres. The Polestar 3 is our luxurious SUV and as with the rest of the collection, it offers impressive range of over 700 kilometres and clean styling.

Tell us, what we can expect from the brand in the future?

The Polestar 5 was recently revealed and we will launch this exciting new model in Ireland in early 2026. This all-electric four-door GT evolved from the Precept concept. It uses a lightweight bonded-aluminium body with an 800-V architecture for rapid charging and efficiency. With this car we can expect dual-motor all-wheel drive, supercar-rivalling performance and long-range grand-touring comfort. Irish pricing and final specs will be confirmed closer to first deliveries but there’s a lot of interest in that car, and now we’ve plenty of space to showcase not just this model, but all future vehicles from Polestar.

If people want to interact with Polestar, they can do it online as well as in the showroom?

Exactly, our website lets customers see all the stock we have including cars available for immediate delivery or they can drop in, have a coffee and chat with one of the team. The Polestar Dublin showroom opening hours are Monday–Friday 09:00–18:00 and Saturday from 10:00–16:00.

Once someone collects their new Polestar, you’ve got some lovely handover spaces too.

We do, there are three dedicated handover bays. We know collecting a new car isn’t an everyday thing, so we aim to make it special. Customers can grab a coffee, move to a quiet space and ask as many or as few questions as they like. It makes the experience more personal. This new space allows us to give a different level of customer service.

We see the brand-new stock available but you’re also starting to see pre-owned cars come through?

Yes, and it’s great to see those customers returning and staying with the brand maybe moving into the new Polestar 2 Business Edition or stepping up to the Polestar 4 Business Edition. It’s a testament to the product and the brand when we see a returning customer ready to change.

If people want to book a test drive or find out more, what’s the best way?

The simplest way is through polestar.com or nevo.ie. Choose the model, pick the day and time for a test drive, and then come in. Our team will get them set up and off they go unaccompanied. The traditional way was with a salesperson sitting beside you, and people can feel nervous in a new car with someone over their shoulder. The feedback on unaccompanied drives has been really positive and we aim to continue this.
