Nevo Electric Vehicle Show Returns With Record Attendance Numbers

The Nevo Electric Vehicle Show, presented in partnership with the Bank of Ireland, returned for a second time on Sunday November 10, 2024 to Dublin’s RDS. This time the organisers opted for the larger foot print of Simmonscourt where some 80 models were on display with no fewer than 14 new vehicle launches unveiled for the very first time. Doors opened 9:30am to a queue of approximately 300 visitors that kicked off a steady visitor flow topping out at a staggering 19,461 attendees by closing time. This attendance number not only cements the event in the calendar as Ireland’s largest-ever motor show, but it also highlights the massive appetite the Irish public have to garner more knowledge as we prepare for the future of sustainable transportation.

Aside from the exclusive Irish car launches there was a plethora of activity on both the Bank of Ireland stage and a second Nevo stage where insightful panel discussions garnered the attention of the public in attendance. Outside live test drive opportunities were in full swing giving show goers a chance to not just drive an EV for the first time, but also to compare models from various manufacturers consecutively. For the second time this year the collective efforts of Drive Inc. and the Nevo Team proved how to execute an event of this magnitude with the help of their partners Bank of Ireland, SSE Airtricity, AXA Ireland with further support from ZEVI (Zero Emission Vehicles Ireland).

Simon Andreucetti, Commercial Director at Nevo, comments:

“I’d like thank our partners and exhibitors who believed in our mission and offered their resources, expertise, and financial backing. Your support allowed us to bring this vision to life, connecting people with the latest in EV technology and encouraging more sustainable choices. Together, we have helped raise awareness about the electric vehicle industry and inspired attendees to think more consciously about their transportation options.” He continued “I’d also like to thank the general public who brought incredible energy and curiosity. Your questions, feedback, and engagement with our exhibitors highlighted the public's sincere interest in adopting cleaner, greener transportation alternatives. Thank you for sharing your time and passion with us; we hope you left the Nevo EV Show with new insights, inspiration, and a sense of excitement about the electric vehicle movement.”

Derek Reilly, Partnerships Director at Nevo adds:

“As we reflect on the success of the Nevo EV Show, we feel inspired by the progress we’re seeing in the electric vehicle space and the passionate community that is growing around it. Electric vehicles are more than a trend; they represent a critical step toward a cleaner future. We are excited about the potential that events like this have to make a tangible impact on how people think about transportation, energy consumption, and environmental responsibility.” Continuing his statement, he added, “Once again, a sincere thank you to each of you who attended and participated. Whether you are an EV enthusiast, an industry expert, or someone simply curious about sustainable technology, your presence contributed to the show’s success and to the greater movement toward a sustainable future.”

What's to Come

The Nevo team has once again demonstrated that the Irish automotive marketplace is poised for transformation, with a clear surge in demand for the latest electric vehicles. Seeing families, individuals, and groups come through the doors, eager to learn and experience the possibilities of electric vehicles, underscored the growing momentum electric vehicles are experiencing. The organisers would like to thank all attendees and exhibitors who contributed to the success of Ireland’s largest Motor show. Preparations are already underway for the next rolling road show in 2025 where a smaller version of this event will tour to various locations around the country. Needless to say, dates have already been secured at Simmonscourt for a two day event in November 2025.

On show day at the RDS, the Nevo team recorded an impressive 220 test drives of the different vehicles available within the designated test-drive zone, each one lasting 15 minutes. With over 900 bookings for test drives the Nevo Team are working on a road show style event to assist the public at various destinations around the country in obtaining test drives.
