Video Review
Toyota’s electric SUV lineup is getting a major upgrade with the arrival of the all-new bZ Touring. Designed as a larger and more versatile alternative to the standard bZ, the Touring focuses heavily on space, practicality and long-distance usability, while introducing updated EV technology and a more rugged overall design.
More space, bigger boot and serious family practicality
The biggest talking point here is practicality. The bZ Touring offers a huge 669-litre boot, giving it significantly more cargo space than the standard model. Toyota has also extended the body length by 140 mm, while rear passengers benefit from an additional 48 mm of headroom, creating a noticeably roomier cabin for families and longer journeys. Roof rails, chunkier styling and optional rugged wheel arch cladding give the Touring a much more SUV-focused presence too.
Up to 590km range and faster charging
Power comes from Toyota’s new 74.7kWh battery pack, with a WLTP range of up to 590km depending on specification. DC fast charging speeds of up to 190kW are supported, while battery pre-conditioning now comes built in to help improve charging performance during colder weather. Toyota will offer both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions, with the AWD model producing up to 380hp.
One of Toyota’s most important EVs yet?
The bZ Touring feels like a major evolution of Toyota’s electric strategy. It keeps the comfort-focused approach buyers will expect from the brand, while adding the practicality, range and charging performance many family EV buyers are looking for. If first impressions are anything to go by, this could become one of Toyota’s strongest EV offerings yet. Stay tuned to Nevo.ie for more updates, reviews & news on Ireland’s EV revolution.
