Video Review
Volvo is entering a new chapter with the all-electric EX60, the long-awaited EV take on one of the brand's most successful SUVs ever, the XC60. Sitting between the EX40 and EX90 in the lineup, the EX60 combines next-generation technology, impressive range figures and Volvo's latest Scandinavian design language.
Up to 810km range and 680hp
The headline figures are seriously impressive. Volvo will offer multiple EX60 powertrains, ranging from a rear-wheel drive 374hp version all the way up to the flagship dual-motor P12 AWD producing 680hp. Volvo claims up to 810km WLTP range from the top-spec model, while 800V architecture allows DC fast charging speeds of up to 400kW, helping deliver a 10–80% top-up in as little as 16 minutes.
A major step forward for Volvo technology
The EX60 is the first Volvo built on the brand's new SPA3 platform, designed to improve efficiency, software integration and overall performance. Inside, buyers can expect Volvo's latest Google-based infotainment system, advanced over-the-air updates and next-generation driver assistance technology heavily influenced by the larger EX90.
One of the benchmark family EVs to watch?
The XC60 has been one of Volvo's biggest global success stories, so expectations around the EX60 are understandably high. Based on early specifications, Volvo appears to be targeting the premium EV market with standout range, ultra-fast charging and significantly upgraded software.
